Do Not Confuse Hunger With Thirst.

Hunger and thirst can very easily be mistaken for each other, many people judge that they are thirsty when they have a dry mouth; this is way past thirsty and heading for chronic dehydration. A normal thirst response is very similar to hunger, a little rumble of the tummy and a mild irritability.

We need water daily and more over we need it throughout the day if you are able to always have a glass of water within reach, if you keep on sipping water throughout the day that is perfect. Also the bigger we are the more water we need, the eight glasses of water a day you often hear about is if you live in a very temperate climate, you are of normal weight and does not allow for vigorous exercise.

Drinking WaterIf you are overweight and exercising you need at least four more glasses a day that’s twelve and space them out throughout the day you may find for the first few days you are running to the toilet all of the time this is normal your body is having a well-earned flush through getting rid of toxins and sending water to all parts of your body that needs it.

Always have a glass or bottle of water at hand sipping water throughout the day is perfect for hydration.

The only answer to dehydration is water, lots of water if you don’t like water get over it, you cannot properly hydrate without it, There is nothing you can put in water that does not hinder its properties to hydrate you. Even fruit juice freshly picked and squeezed from your own back yard will only dehydrate you further.

So how important is water to our efforts to lose weight? its massive it cannot be stressed enough our liver is very important for weight loss, it metabolises our fat cells and if we are putting stress on our liver by depriving it of water and also depriving our kidneys of water which in turn forces our liver to do more work; well you can soon get a sense of how hard everything is working.

Also by being dehydrated we have up to 40% less energy which doesn’t help us get up and about. We feel more alert when we are properly hydrated and our general feeling of well-being is enhanced. If all of these reasons are not enough to get you guzzling water consider the sheer amounts of ailments that are preventable and curable by drinking more water.
